Phoenix Rider of The West

" Four guardians are said to protect the land. In the North, the Dragon Rider, the East, the Mammoth Rider, the South, the Koi rider, and in the West, the Phoenix rider.

The Phoenix rider represents the end, the sunset, and the pride of a person. If these things are connected is a sobering thought indeed. Her hair is a beautiful, long and scarlet, and she often shows off her Long Dress, a gift from the Vietnamese. She rides a pheonix, which symbolizes both beginning and end. Their land consists of the volcanic wasteland of the west, the afterlife. Day in, day out, she watches over the spirits that come to her through death, and from time to time, she sends them up to the North, where it will be judged by the Dragon Rider whether it deserves another life.

Most startling of her features are the downcast, blue eyes. They stand out against her other features, to the point where legends tell of a bittersweet destiny to all those that are too weak to resist their gaze."

It's a chicken. It's supposed to be a phoenix but it's a Chicken. It's one of hopefully four works that I'm gonna do... but after seeing this I have half a mind to change the project into a work of 12; the twelve chinese zodiacs. This one being the rooster.

The pheonix took me about three days by itself, and the girl took me about one. I have profound respect for ~Starstricken-Disaste and =LadyDeathwing or their ability to draw so much detail into their pics T_T;;;;;
